CVS updates PL consumables line

March 11th, 2013

WOONSOCKET, R.I. – CVS/pharmacy has revamped its Gold Emblem line of food and beverages with enhanced ingredients, new snack options and more flavors.

The popular line, which includes a wide variety of snacks, dessert items, beverages and groceries, has undergone a number of changes to offer customers more options, better taste and a contemporary look. Nutritional information has been incorporated on the front of packaging to empower shoppers to make informed purchasing decisions.

Updates include a contemporary identity and package redesign that embodies the commitment to meeting a high taste standard, as well as a refined taste-test approval process to evaluate every item.

"We are committed to providing our customers with high-quality store brand product lines at a great value," said senior vice president of merchandising Judy Sansone.

Among the more than 250 products in the line are nuts, trail mixes, chips, pretzels, dried fruits, candies, cookies, spices, juices, condiments, baking essentials and breakfast bars.
