MATTHEWS, N.C. – Family Dollar Stores Inc. is partnering with McLane Co. to enable the retailer to offer customers an expanded merchandise selection, including refrigerated and frozen food, across Family Dollar’s approximately 7,200 locations in 45 states beginning in September.

"We are broadening our assortment and increasing our relevancy to our customers. McLane’s national footprint and broad distribution network make it a great partner to support our growth initiatives," said Howard Levine, Family Dollar chairman and chief executive officer.

Through its partnership with McLane, which provides supply chain services, Family Dollar will benefit from McLane’s cold chain solution and SKU offerings.
