New arrivals bolster tech team at Target
July 28th, 2014
MINNEAPOLIS – Target Corp. has added three new external senior-level hires who will have responsibility for leading teams across information technology, e-commerce and digital products.
Jim Fisher joins Target as senior vice president of infrastructure and operations and technology services, where he will oversee Target’s technical infrastructure and operations. Immediately before Target, Fisher was senior vice president of global infrastructure operations at First Data Corp.
Alan Wizemann joins the Minneapolis-based retailer as vice president of Target.com and mobile products, a position in which he will oversee digital product teams. For the last two years, Wizemann had been consulting with Target and leading various product teams. Before Target, he founded ShopIgniter, a social commerce and marketing platform.
David Weissman joins Target as president of DermStore, based in El Segundo, Calif., an online beauty and skin care product firm that Target acquired last year. He was previously at BCBG Max Azria Group Inc., where he was executive vice president, e-commerce and omnichannel.
"At Target, we’ve said one of our top priorities is accelerating our digital transformation, and these new hires are a signal of our commitment to that effort," said Jodee Kozlak, chief human resources officer.
"Jim, David and Alan are proven leaders who we believe will help Target deliver great new experiences for our guests, whether in stores, online or on the go."
The July announcements come on the heels of several other recent external senior-level hires.
