SaveRite stores to be rebranded

September 5th, 2011

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. has decided to pull the plug on SaveRite, its discount grocery format, and convert the six stores in two states to the Winn-Dixie name.

"Phasing out the SaveRite banner makes sense and supports our neighborhood marketing strategy," says chairman, president and chief executive officer Peter Lynch. "By aligning all 484 stores under one Winn-Dixie banner we will be able to ensure a more consistent shopping experience for all of our guests."

The conversion, which will take about four months to complete, means customers at the SaveRite locations will benefit from a broader selection of products and have access to Winn-Dixie’s meal solutions and value promotions. Holders of the retailer’s Customer Reward Card here and in Tampa will be able to enroll in the fuelperks! rewards program.
