The most recent example of the impact Duncan Mac Naughton, Walmart’s chief merchandising officer, continues to exert on America’s largest retailer came last month with the announcement of several changes within the retailer’s merchandising organization. Edward Lampert, the billionaire hedge fund manager who brought Sears and Kmart together eight years ago to form Sears Holdings, became chief executive officer of the struggling retail company at the beginning of the month.
