Files may be furnished in: TIFF/EPS, Adobe Acrobat PDF or Quark Xpress MAC format is preferred but files executed with PC versions of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat are acceptable. Contact production manager for further information regarding special circumstances where other software may be accepted.

A proof of file printed at 100% of unit size must accompany all digital media. All files must contain a printed directory listing the components and describing the applications/versions used to compose the ad.

Label media with the following:

1. Customer name/Publication name/Issue date

2. File names

3. Date and time disc was created

4. Software/version used to create files

Page files must be constructed so that upon opening the page file all elements (fonts, EPS, TIFF, etc) are positioned correctly. Customer must supply all related files necessary for output — i.e., EPS and TIFF along with the original electronic art. Any fonts used in job must also be copied to job disc and shipped with file. Compression software may be used to protect file and expedite travel times when using the Internet for e-mail or FTP operations.

Do not send any more files than are required to construct the page.

Customer is responsible for providing any necessary files for the output of any art. All 4-color must be in CMYK mode. If there is a Pantone or 5th color arrangements must be made with the MMR production manager.

To avoid font conflicts and type reflow please convert text to paths.

The following must be included with all electronic advertising files:

1. A cross-referenced list identifying which pages are contained in which files.
2. A complete font list identifying each font by its complete name and by its    manufacturer.   PostScript only (Adobe PostScript fonts are recommended).
3. Composite laser proofs of each page that clearly specify tints, color breaks, pickup information, illustration identification, etc. Actual-size lasers or digital proofs must accompany any files sent. If proofs are not actual size, please identify them as enlarged/reduced size. MMR cannot be responsible for accuracy of files if proof is not submitted with electronic file.
4. 4/C scans must be converted from RGB mode to CMYK mode in Adobe Photoshop. Resolution should be 300 dpi at 100% to ensure proper image quality. 5. Color proofs are required to provide accurate guidance for the press.
