Store closings and weak same-store sales led to a revenue decline for Rite Aid Corp. in its fiscal 2010 fourth quarter, with the drug store chain also falling short of Wall Street's earnings estimate. After dropping off in the previous month, consumer confidence rebounded in March, according to The Conference Board. Rite Aid Corp. saw its same-store sales improve but still come in flat during March. The board of directors at BJ's Wholesale Club Inc. has authorized the repurchase of up to an additional $200 million of the company's common stock. Walgreen Co. has received regulatory clearance from the Federal Trade Commission to complete its planned acquisition of Duane Reade Holdings Inc. Supervalu Inc. has agreed to sell six bigg's supermarkets and their pharmacies in the greater Cincinnati area to local grocery chain Remke Markets.
