Record results for fiscal 2011 at Dollar Tree

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Dollar Tree Inc. reported a 22.9% increase in net income to $488.3 million for fiscal 2011.

Consolidated net sales for the 12 months ended January 28 rose 12.7% to $6.63 billion, as comparable-store sales grew 6%, following a 6.3% rise in fiscal 2010.

Dollar Tree finished the fiscal year with 4,351 stores in 48 states and five Canadian provinces.
