The latest from American Greetings

CLEVELAND – American Greetings Corp. has introduced two new and distinctive card collections. Tasties is a line of birthday cards that contains a dissolvable flavor strip sealed inside the card.

The sentiment and artwork correspond to the flavor of each card. For example, one card displays an image of a cupcake and reads, "If nothing else, birthdays are a great excuse to eat cake." The inside of the card then reads "…lots and lots of cake." The flavor strip features the taste of vanilla cupcake.

"Consumers love giving their friends and family something that is completely new and fun, and with Tasties they can share their warmest wishes along with a sweet treat to offer the proverbial cherry on top of their thoughtful gesture," said Mary McClain, creative director of new product concepts at American Greetings.

In addition, American Greetings has launched the Taylor Swift Summer Collection, which consists of 14 new designs featuring classic summer imagery enhanced by thoughtful, real-life sentiments through the words of Taylor Swift. The new collection brings the total number of Taylor Swift cards to 43.
