Continental fragrances receives backing

September 17th, 2010

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Continental Fragrances Inc., maker of the Salon Grafix hair care line, has received a private equity infusion from Indianapolis-based CID Capital.

"CID’s investment will allow us to continue to leverage our brand equity and accelerate new product introductions," said Continental co-founder and chief executive officer Scott Petchul. "We were looking for a partner that shared our vision, understood consumer products, and could provide meaningful resources to support our growth. We found that in CID."

Besides Salon Grafix, Continental produces the Gigahold and High Beams hair care lines.

"Continental is an extraordinary company, and it is evident that Scott and his team are passionate about the hair care and beauty industry," said CID managing director Eric Bruun. "This passion is complemented by an intense focus on delivering a pipeline of innovative new products, such as the recently introduced Invisible Dry Spray Shampoo and Conditioner, while providing world-class service to leading retailers across North America."
