BRAINERD, Minn. — Former Walmart chief merchandising and marketing officer Duncan Mac Naughton assumes the role of CEO of Mills Fleet Farm, a Midwestern retailer with 35 stores in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and North Dakota.

His appointment became effective Monday upon the completion of the retailer’s acquisition by the investment firm KKR.

Mac Naughton brings more than 30 years of experience to the position. Before joining Wal-Mart in 2009, Mac Naughton held a number of leadership roles at Supervalu Inc., Alberton’s, H-E-B and Kraft Foods Group Inc.
