SEATTLE — Jeff Wilke, chief executive of Amazon’s worldwide consumer business, plans to retire from the company in early 2021. He will be succeeded by Dave Clark, who has served as senior vice president of worldwide operations at Amazon.

The move was announced Friday morning in an email by Amazon founder and chief executive Jeff Bezos.

Wilke has spent more than two decades with Amazon. He was named one of two chief executive officers under Bezos in 2016. Andy Jassy was named CEO of the Amazon Web Services cloud computing business at that time.
