JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Bi-Lo Holdings LLC says that it will rename the Sweetbay and Reid’s stores that it acquired earlier this year from Delhaize Group.

Bi-Lo Holdings LLC says that it will rename the Sweetbay and Reid’s stores that it acquired earlier this year from Delhaize Group.

While the Sweetbay outlets will now operate under the Winn-Dixie banner and the Reid’s units will carry the BI-LO name, the majority of the Harvey’s supermarkets that Bi-Lo got in the deal will continue to operate under that banner.

Executives say, however, that a few Harveys stores may convert to the Winn-Dixie or BI-LO banners.

The name changes, they note, will take place after the Delhaize deal is completed early next year.
