FRANKLIN, Wis. — Carma Laboratories Inc. on Monday announced the launch of a grant program to support entrepreneurs. The maker of Carmex lip balms aims “to inspire and encourage entrepreneurs to follow their dreams by rewarding one driven, hard-working ‘dreamer’ with a $10,000 grant to be put toward achieving their ‘unstoppable dream.’ ” The brand is launching the program via social media, where participants can enter through Facebook or Instagram for a chance to win.

Entries can be submitted through July 15, the company said in a statement, and the winner will be revealed in August.

To enter on Facebook, contestants should visit the Carmex Facebook page from their personal accounts and post a video of 30 seconds or less that depicts their dream or aspiration related to a business or product, the company said. Participants entering via Instagram should post a public video to their personal page and tag the brand’s Instagram account (@MyCarmex) in the caption.

To be considered, all entries must include the hashtags #InPursuitOf and #Contest.

Jona Mancuso, vice president of marketing at Carma Laboratories, said the company’s goal is to encourage individuals to pursue their dreams and ambitions, and to communicate the message that “anything is possible with hard work and determination. The dedication and resilience demonstrated by our founder has led us to where we are today, and we acknowledge the unwavering spirit that it takes to make dreams come true.”

Carma Laboratories was founded in 1937 by Alfred Woelbing, the inventor of Carmex lip balm. The company remains a family-owned and -operated business that continues to produce its original lip care formula in its trademark jars and has expanded the line to include flavored lip balms, ultra hydrating lip care formulas and soothing skin care products.
