CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Charlotte’s Web won the ECRM/MMR Buyers Choice Award for its Full Spectrum Hemp Extract Drops during recent ECRM’s Pet CBD Program, which was held here in November. Veritas Farms was the finalist for its Calming Chews.

Both companies were among dozens of entrants whose products were displayed in the hospitality area during the program. Buyers cast their votes based on product innovation and packaging.

“With the humanization of pets, it’s no surprise how quickly CBD has made its way into the pet category,” said Jeff Smalley, SVP of General Merchandise, ECRM. “What is surprising, though, is the rapid pace of product innovation among the suppliers in this space, and our two Buyers Choice Award winners are prime examples of this innovation.”

Charlotte’s Web was a pioneer in the CBD industry with its products that range from tinctures and topicals to capsules and gummies. Its quality standards extend from field to final product, with diligent soil testing, the use of proprietary seeds, and the cultivation of plants on American family farms using sustainable methods; by the time customers receive a Charlotte’s Web product, it’s been tested more than 20 times from cultivation through manufacturing, according to the company.

The company’s Full Spectrum Hemp Extract Drops for dogs contain 17mg of naturally occurring CBD blended with easily digestible MCT oil to help support a sense of calm and healthy hips and joints, the company says. Available in both unflavored and chicken-flavored varieties, the whole-plant hemp extract is available in a pump and features a full spectrum of hemp-derived cannabinoids.

Veritas Farms operates a 140-acre farm and production facility in Pueblo, Colorado and is registered with the Colorado Department of Agriculture. Its full spectrum hemp oil products include topical and ingestible products as well as a premium skincare line, all of which are third-party laboratory tested for strength and purity, with all test results made public via the company’s website.

Veritas’ Calming Chews with Full Spectrum Hemp Oil are formulated with Chamomile and Valerian Root to help keep your pets calm during thunderstorms, fireworks, traveling and other stressful environments. Additional active ingredients include Passion Flower, Ginger Root, L-Tryptophan, L-Theanine and Full Spectrum Hemp Oil.
