“We’re excited to partner with Walgreens to make CocoaVia supplement more accessible to consumers across the country,” said Julie Talbot, marketing and sales director for Mars Symbioscience, makers of CocoaVia supplement. “Leading universities around the world and the scientists at Mars Inc. have studied cocoa flavanols, and there is growing data on their importance in supporting the health of the entire body by supporting healthy blood flow.”

Cocoa flavanols are naturally-occurring phytonutrients in the cocoa bean, according to Mars, which says that those phytonutrients are destroyed by the processing normally used to make chocolate. But Mars says its own patented Cocoapro process preserves those phytonutrients, delivering the highest concentration of cocoa flavanols available in a cocoa extract supplement. Each serving of CocoaVia delivers 375 mg of cocoa flavanols, the company says.

The 60-count CocoaVia capsules and 10-count CocoaVia Unsweetened Dark Chocolate powdered stick packs are now available at 7,500 Walgreens locations nationwide, selling for a suggested $34.99 and $17.99.
