OREFIELD, Pa. — DelCorean LLC has inked a distribution pact with Weis Markets for its Cramp911 topical muscle relaxer.

DelCorean LLC has inked a distribution pact with Weis Markets for its Cramp911 topical muscle relaxer.

Under the agreement, Weis Markets’ 119 stores with pharmacy departments will carry the 4.5-milliliter travel size and 21-milliliter nightstand size of Cramp911, DelCorean said.

Sunbury, Pa.-based Weis Markets operates 164 supermarket in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and West Virginia. The retailer participated in the original test market for Cramp911, DelCorean noted.

An over-the-counter topical muscle relaxer, Cramp911 is designed to relieve muscle cramps and spasms in under a minute, avoiding the ‘post-cramp pain" often associated with cramps, according to DelCorean. The medication relieves pain resulting from athletic activity, night-time cramping, neck and back spasms, statin or other prescription-induced cramps, dehydration or even cramping associated with chronic conditions such as multiple sclerosis or fibromyalgia, the company said, adding that a single application of Cramp911’s homeopathic ingredients can offer relief for up to eight hours.

Late last month, DelCorean announced a distribution of Cramp911 with H.E. Butt Grocery Co., which will carry the muscle relaxer in its stores throughout Texas. The supermarket chain has about 270 locations in south-central Texas. DelCorean said the H.E.B. launch will be supported by inserts and coupon ads in local newspapers.

Other chain retailers carrying Cramp911 include CVS, Duane Reade, Winn-Dixie, Price Chopper and Food City.
