WOONSOCKET, R.I. — According to published reports, CVS Health says it now expects to close its $69 billion acquisition of Aetna after the Thanksgiving holiday, after saying earlier this month that it anticipated the deal would close before the holiday.

CVS says it has received approval from 26 of the 28 state departments of insurance and is in the final stages of the approval process with the two remaining states.
