Dollar General promotes Reardon to EVP

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — Dollar General Corp. has promoted Kathy Reardon to executive vice president and chief people officer, effective Thursday. Reardon joined Dollar General in 2009 and has served as senior vice president and chief people officer since March 2019.

“Kathy’s effectiveness as a leader at Dollar General is evident in the company’s lowest store manager turnover on record, increased employee engagement scores and leading our ongoing diversity and inclusion journey, which extends to all levels of our organization,” Dollar General CEO Todd Vasos said. “Kathy has brought a wealth of leadership, knowledge and experience to Dollar General, and I look forward to the continued contributions she will make to our organization.”

Reardon joined Dollar General as director of corporate human resources 11 years ago. She has since gained leadership experience in corporate human resources, talent management and field human resources, the company said.

Prior to joining Dollar General, Reardon held positions of increasing responsibility at Carrier Corporation and Centex Homes. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business.
