Hy-Vee names Jason Farver president of its PDI unit

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee Inc. has named Jason Farver president of the company’s Perishable Distributors of Iowa (PDI) subsidiary, the company said on Friday. Farver will oversee the operations, strategies, and overall growth of PDI, along with Hy-Vee’s other manufacturing facilities.

Farver comes to Hy-Vee from VT Industries, where he spent more than 13 years and most recently served as company president. Before that he spent nine years Pella Corp., culminating with a role as site plant manager. Farver holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Iowa State University and also graduated from Harvard Business School’s general management program. Farver also serves as president of United Christians International, a nonprofit that helps underprivileged families in Haiti.

Farver starts in his new role at Hy-Vee on October 4.
