Hy-Vee Sets ‘Best of Local Brands’ Summit

Vendors invited to submit products for potential Hy-Vee distribution

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee, Inc. is accepting submissions from suppliers of local brands ahead of the retailer’s next “Best of Local Brands” summit” in November.

The summit consists of 20-minute virtual interviews with selected suppliers and will take place November 2 through November 4.

Submissions are made online through RangeMe, the online product discovery and sourcing platform, at www.rangeme.com/hyveebestoflocal22q4 in a half-dozen categories of retail-ready products: grocery, deli, general merchandise, frozen, dairy, and health and beauty care.Hy-Vee Grimes

The submission deadline is Sept. 12.

Since launching the quarterly summits early last year, more than 100 new brands have been given shelf space in Hy-Vee retail outlets. Hy-Vee operates more than 285 retail stores in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Hy-Vee says it continues to elevate its efforts of identifying suppliers with diverse backgrounds and to encourages minority-owned and women-owned businesses to apply to participate in the summits.

ECRM and RangeMe are helping Hy-Vee source, qualify and connect with suppliers. All meetings will be conducted through ECRM’s virtual meeting platform, ECRM Connect.

Suppliers not chosen for participation this time may be reviewed by Hy-Vee again in the future.
