TEMPLE CITY, Calif. – Jon Davler Inc., owner of the LASplash Cosmetics and IONI Cosmetics brands, recently altered its manufacturing facilities to help satisfy surging demand for hand sanitizer during the coronavirus pandemic.

In addition to its own brands, Jon Davler is a contract manufacturer of private-label color cosmetics for retailers including Ulta Beauty, Dollar Tree, 99 Cents Only Stores, Macy’s and Nordstrom.

The company last month said it was motivated to provide a safety tool for its employees and to contribute to public health. Retailers nationwide quickly ran out of hand sanitizer in the early days of the COVID-19 outbreak, making it more challenging for Americans to stay safe while shopping or after handling materials that might have come into contact with the virus.

“After creating a variety of in-house sanitizing formulas while following FDA guideline, we found the perfect balance between antiseptic and moisturizing using 190-proof, specially denatured alcohol (SDA), organic essential oils, vitamin E and aloe vera,” the company said in a press release. “We decided to take this process a step further by registering our Temple City facility to comply with FDA and O-T-C manufacturing standards.”

Jon Davler also said its production guidelines strictly adhere to Title 21 of the Code of Federal
Regulations, which governs food and drugs within the United States for Food and Drug
Administration, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Office of National Drug Control Policy.

The company has the capacity to produce 250,000 units of hand sanitizer per week, in two delivery
formats – a gel and a spray – in various fragrances.

“A portion of our first production was donated to our local communities,” the company said.
