DALLAS — Kimberly-Clark Corp. has launched new products under the Kleenex, Depend and Kotex brands.

Kimberly-Clark Corp. has launched new products under the Kleenex, Depend and Kotex brands.

New Kleenex Hand Towels are a single-use, disposable bathroom product. Marketers say the towels address consumers’ growing concern with hand hygiene.

In the United States, they note, people dry their hands on cloth bathroom towels about 200 billion times a year.

Kimberly-Clark cites Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for hand washing, which recommend hand drying with a single-use towel.

Meanwhile, the company has begun offering its Depend Underwear for Men and Depend Underwear for Women in colors and prints. Marketers say the new items are designed to help make consumers more comfortable with wearing absorbent garments.

“We want to make our Depend products as much like underwear as possible,” states Andrew Meurer, vice president of Kimberly-Clark North American feminine and adult care brands.

The latest addition to the company’s Kotex franchise is U by Kotex. The four-product line includes tampons, CleanWear pads with wings, liners, and promotional tins that include a mixture of tampons and liners.

In conjunction with the launch, Kimberly-Clark is encouraging women to join its Declaration of Real Talk Campaign. For every woman who joins, the company will donate $1 to Girls for a Change, an organization that helps girls effect social changes in their communities.
