ANAHEIM, Calif. — Natural Products Expo West, one of the country’s premier annual food and beverage trade shows, has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The annual event brings thousands of food vendors and retailers to Anaheim, Calif.

“Our commitment to serve and support our communities has led to the postponement/rescheduling of a number of events elsewhere across our wider group, to a date later in 2020,” the organizers of Natural Products Expo West wrote on their website.

“It is now clear, despite continued advice from local government and health authorities that the City of Anaheim remains open, that the majority of our Community want the show, but they do not want it now,” the organization added.

Originally scheduled for March 3-7, a new date is expected to be announced by mid-April. Natural Products Expo West leaders said they would work with exhibitors and attendees on the rescheduling and that they would create a $5 million “rebate fund” to help “the many entrepreneurs and small businesses who are the heartbeat of this community.
