AKRON, Ohio — Hygenic/Performance Health has inked a deal to make its Perform Pain Reliever the official external analgesic for the 2010 to 2011 Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series.

Hygenic/Performance Health has inked a deal to make its Perform Pain Reliever the official external analgesic for the 2010 to 2011 Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series.

The deal will give the product exposure to thousands of participants at each of the 17 Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon events hosted by Competitor Group around the country. Perform Pain Reliever samples will be offered at the Health & Fitness Expo booth at each event, and samples will also be placed in goodie bags given to each participant.

"Our client base is largely the so-called ‘weekend warrior,’ someone who is extremely active in their free time," said Scott Matolka, director of marketing for Hygenic’s consumer retail marketing group. "Working with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Series really gives us the ability directly with those active, high energy people who are likely to need and appreciate what Perform products have to offer."

Perform Pain Reliever is an external analgesic — available as a gel, spray or roll-on — that provides the benefits of cold therapy in a convenient form.
