BOULDER, Colo. — Richard Willis has been named president and chief executive officer of Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy.

Willis succeeds Mark Panzer, who left Pharmaca last spring to become senior vice president of pharmacy, health and wellness at Albertsons.

“Richard has a strong track record of creating value for shareholders,” said Peter Cornetta, lead director and managing general partner of Highland Consumer Partners, Pharmaca’s majority shareholder.

Willis, 56, has more than 25 years of executive experience in retailing, distribution and publishing. He most recently was president and CEO of SpeedCommerce. He previously was executive chairman of Charlotte Russe, and CEO of companies including Baker & Taylor Corp., Troll Communications and Bell Sports. He earlier was chief financial officer of several magazine companies, including Petersen Publishing, which he helped take public.
