RONKONKOMA, N.Y.– Pink, the new vitamin and supplement brand from Piping Rock Health Products created by women for women with a cause, has partnered with National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to personally build and donate HOPE Kits to women undergoing breast cancer treatment throughout the U.S.

HOPE Kits are care packages filled with comforting items such as a tumbler, fuzzy socks, unscented lotion, tea, and lip balm, and each one included an inspirational handwritten message written by the women of Pink.

“When we launched the program in 2016, we had no idea it would take off as quickly as it did or how important these kits would be to those receiving one,” said Becca Epperley, manager of Charitable Giving & Strategic Partnerships at NBCF. Last year alone, NBCF delivered over 7,500 HOPE Kits to breast cancer patients.

“I loved the personalized note that I am not alone in this fight,” said Kathleen G., a HOPE Kit recipient. “It affected me so deeply. It’s nice to know that people care.”

As a brand created for women, part of Pink’s mission is to empower women beyond their health and wellness goals. Through their partnership with NBCF, Pink is focusing on the overall well-being of women by donating tangible expressions of comfort and encouragement via the HOPE Kits.

In addition to donating HOPE Kits, the women from the Pink marketing team packed the kits themselves and mailed them out to patients located all across the U.S. Social distancing guidelines prevented the Pink team from packaging the kits together, so they connected via Zoom for a virtual packing party.

“Preparing the HOPE Kits and writing messages to our sisters undergoing treatment was an unforgettable experience for myself and everyone in the Pink family,” said Kimberly Vigliante, SVP of Wholesale Sales and Marketing. “Our brand was founded on the principle of women supporting other women – we wanted to let these women know how incredibly strong and brave they are, and that they’re not alone.”

Anyone undergoing treatment for breast cancer can sign up to receive a HOPE Kit. Breast cancer affects one in eight women, and at any given time there are about 2,000 people on the wait list for a HOPE Kit.

“When you’re going through a diagnosis like cancer and going through treatment, it can feel very isolating,” said Epperley. “We’re so grateful to our amazing partners like Pink who are hosting parties because without them, we could not send out as many kits as we do.”

Backed by a team of experts with over 40 years of experience in the industry, Pink products are carefully designed by women with on-trend ingredients, in fun forms like delicious gummies, and innovative packaging for women on the go. Pink is inspired by women and strives to give today’s women the products that can satisfy their specific wellness needs. Every Pink vitamin and supplement is non-GMO and made without gluten and artificial flavors.
