WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Raley’s has released its first annual Impact Report, highlighting actions taken in 2020 in support of its purpose of changing the way the world eats, one plate at a time. The report details Raley’s efforts and initiatives aimed at nourishing its purpose as well as people, communities and the planet.

“Our first Impact Report exemplifies our team’s dedication to prioritizing purpose over profit and our commitment to serving multiple bottom lines,” Keith Knopf, Raley’s president and chief executive officer, said in releasing the report. “We are committed to being more than a grocery store.”

Among the year’s highlights was the opening of the first Raley’s O-N-E Market, in Truckee, Calif., offering a curated selection of natural and organic food, presented in a manner that encourages wholesome eating. In addition to a cornucopia of organics, the 35,000-square-foot store features an abundance of freshly prepared food available for dine-in or takeaway. The store is the first to offer Raley’s Something Extra Health program, a feature of the company’s loyalty program designed to help interested customers on their personal wellness journeys.

Raley’s opened its second O-N-E Market earlier this month, in a reconfigured Raley’s store in El Dorado Hills, Calif., and reportedly is planning to convert others. The company said the El Dorado store was selected for the first conversion based on data from its loyalty program suggesting that its customers were interested in more organic offerings and products with clean ingredients.
