HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Sears Holdings Corp. has revived its Christmas Club card to help consumers save money for the holidays, added a new line to its merchandise mix and launched a new web site.

Sears Holdings Corp. has revived its Christmas Club card to help consumers save money for the holidays, added a new line to its merchandise mix and launched a new web site.

"We want to make it as easy as possible for [shoppers] to budget and save for the upcoming 2010 holiday season," Susan Ehrlich, Sears Holdings’ president of financial services, says about efforts to help shoppers save money over time, without incurring credit card interest or debt.

Customers, she explains, can start a Christmas Club card with as little as $5, and add value as often as they want at any one of Sears Holdings’ approximately 3,900 full-line and specialty retail stores, or online.

The cards can be used at Sears, Kmart, Lands’ End and The Great Indoors stores, as well as on sears.com, kmart.com, mygofer.com, landsend.com and thegreatindoors.com.

Meanwhile, Sears and Kmart have launched an exclusive soft home collection created by Hispanic journalist and talk show host Cristina Saralegui.

Called Casa Cristina, the collection of bed and bath products is inspired by Saralegui’s home in Miami and memories of her childhood.

"The collection allows us to offer our customers products with broad appeal, and designs that draw from the Hispanic culture," vice president and general merchandising manager of home products Doug Wurl says. "Our collaboration with Casa Cristina represents our commitment to offering our customers more style sensibilities."

Sears newest web site is dedicated to shoes.

Called Shoe Experience and found at sears.com/shoes, the site brings together products and “functionalities” that customers have traditionally received from retailers, bloggers and social networks, aggregating them all in one place.
