SheaMoisture’s new skin care line addresses redness

AMITYVILLE, N.Y. — SheaMoisture is introducing the skin care collection  Matcha Green Tea & Probiotics, formulated to help combat redness, a common skin concern among young adults, the company said.

Skin irritation and sensitivity can be caused by external factors, such as pollution and reactions to skin care products, as well as internal triggers, including stress, rosacea and acne, the company added.

The collection combines two ingredients, matcha green tea and probiotics, to balance and protect skin, and improve the appearance of uneven texture. It defends against the causes of inflammation and irritation, while  reducing redness, leaving skin moisturized.

Matcha Green Tea contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Probiotics help improve skin’s natural balance, leaving it more hydrated and radiant.

Available at Target and Target.com, the collection consists of the following three products:

  • Transforming Clay-to-Cream Cleanser ($10.99): a cleanser applied to dry skin, converting to a cream when water is added.
  • Soothing Toner & Hydrating Mist ($10.99): A 2-in-1 facial toner and hydrating mist that hydrates skin without stripping it of natural oils.
  • Soothing Eye Cream ($11.99): A lightweight, color-correcting eye cream with a metal-tip applicator that brightens the under eye area.
