Retailer also expands toy selection ahead of holidays

MINNEAPOLIS — Target is tripling the number of Disney-themed departments in its stores to more than 160 and will add more than 1,300 exclusive toys and games in time for the holiday season, the company said on Monday.

The retailer unveiled its list of top toys for 2021, and said gift seekers will find top brands like LEGO and L.O.L. Surprise! alongside a range of new additions designed to spark creativity. The toy offerings include an exclusive 70-piece toy collection with FAO Schwarz, of which 85% of items are new this year, popular characters like PAW Patrol and Barbie, and the Zoe Doll by Black-owned business Healthy Roots (which inspires girls to love their curls through hair play).

Target shoppers will also find top toys from popular Disney properties, including Star Wars and Raya and the Last Dragon. By the end of the year, Target will expand to more than 160 Disney store-in-store locations at Target outlets across the country. Target said it also continues to expand its dedicated online Disney experience for fans seeking toys and games from the hottest properties.

The toys on the top 50 list start at $19.99. Target added that its complete toy selection, and nearly all holiday gifts, are available for same-day pickup or delivery through Target’s fulfillment services; Drive Up, Order Pickup and Same-Day Delivery with Shipt – no membership required. Target RedCard holders can also enjoy five percent off their Top Toys purchases all season long.
