“Workforce capabilities are one of FMI’s Imperative Issues and have become particularly urgent in recent years,” notes FMI’s senior vice president of industry relations and chief collaboration officer Mark Baum. “We have been addressing these challenges and opportunities in a variety of ways, but now, under Julie’s leadership, we will unify our programs, create and execute our future vision, and leverage our assets, relationships, and capabilities to bring innovative solutions and value to our members and industry stakeholders.

“Our sustainability community and content are more mature given the focus we have put on these issues over the years, but sustainability has taken on a greater sense of urgency as well, and Julie will help us develop and implement new industry insights, tools, and resources deemed appropriate by FMI members to help them meet their sustainability goals and objectives.

“Julie has proven herself to be an agile and impactful association leader with a demonstrated history of advancing new strategic initiatives with impressive results. She has a well-deserved reputation of collaborating and cultivating relationships across diverse organizational and stakeholder groups, internally and externally.”

Savoie worked closely with FMI in her former role at Consumer Brands Association, where she served industry affairs, including Director of SmartLabel. Most recently, Savoie was director of sustainability at CropLife America and also gained valuable retailing experience as a buyer and business development manager for Bluemercurey earlier in her career.

Savoie earned her undergraduate degree from Loyola University and her MBA from Georgetown University.
