MINNEAPOLIS — Supervalu Inc. has appointed new presidents at Save-A-Lot and Shop ’n Save, and three additions to its corporate leadership.

Supervalu Inc. has appointed new presidents at Save-A-Lot and Shop ’n Save, and three additions to its corporate leadership.

Ritchie Casteel was named president and chief executive officer of Save-A-Lot. Casteel has more than 40 years of experience in retailing, including over 30 years in a variety of leadership positions with the original Albertsons Inc., where he finished his tenure as vice president of operations for the Intermountain West division.

Eric Hymas was named president of Shop ’n Save. He most recently was senior vice president of merchandising at Supervalu.

New members of the leadership team include Kroger veteran Mark Van Buskirk, who was named executive vice president of merchandising and marketing. Albertsons veteran Rob Woseth was appointed executive vice president and chief strategy officer, and Fred Meyer veteran Steve Fox was named senior vice president of food merchandising.
