ARLINGTON, Va. — The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is set to hold its first-ever Food is Medicine Summit on Wednesday, January 31, with NACDS president and CEO Steven Anderson as one of the scheduled speakers.

The full-day event will convene policymakers, advocates, researchers, and stakeholders to discuss the importance of food as medicine, what specific actions are being taken to promote this concept, and what stakeholders can do to further promote work in this space. NACDS says that this inaugural event aligns with NACDS’ work to highlight community pharmacies as leaders in health and wellness innovation.

NACDS invites people to tune in to the Food is Medicine Summit at 3:45 PM ET for a panel discussion that includes Anderson and will emphasize the role of cross-sector partnerships in supporting and expanding access to food as medicine resources and interventions.
