WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Raley’s has promoted two key leaders within the ­organization. Kevin Konkel was named to the newly created role of chief operations officer, and Paul Gianetto was named senior vice president of sales and ­merchandising.

The moves, according to Mark Foley, chief people officer, “will support the advancement of our vision and purpose.”

Previously, Konkel held the title of senior vice president of operations. In his new role, he will lead operations in all of Raley’s banners and pharmacy operations, as well as store design and construction, operations administration, distribution and asset protection.

Gianetto has more than 35 years of experience in the grocery business. He joined Raley’s in 2008 and has held various roles in merchandising. In 2017, he was promoted to vice president of center store. In his new role, he will manage strategic pricing, private label, sales and merchandising for both center store and perishable departments.
