Unilever’s Dry Spray Antiperspirants have been the most awarded personal care innovation of the year, the company says, with 20 influential media awards and millions of trials by consumers.

Introduced a year ago, the Dry Spray line promises to go on instantly dry and provide a cleaner feel and no visible residue.

"We realized men and women weren’t giving as much thought to what their underarm routine was missing," said Matthew McCarthy, senior marketing director of antiperspirants and deodorants at Unilever.

"We wanted to shake things up by offering a dry and cleaner application experience unlike anything available on the market and are thrilled with how quickly people are responding to the innovation," he added.

The Dry Spray Antiperspirants, with a lightweight formulation and a softer spray, are available across five brands — Dove and Dove Men+Care Dry Spray Antiperspirants, formulated with non-irritant formulas that contain one-quarter moisturizer technology; Degree Women and Degree Men Dry Spray Antiperspirants, engineered with MotionSense technology that responds to body movement, releasing extra protection during physical activity; and Axe Dry Spray Antiperspirants, featuring fragrances developed by perfumers.
