The new practice is located in Elk Grove Village, Ill.

DEERFIELD, Ill.  – Walgreens Boots Alliance  (WBA) and VillageMD announced Thursday the opening of the first Village Medical at Walgreens primary care practice in the Chicago area. The practice is located at 641 Meacham Road, in Elk Grove Village, Ill.

Village Medical at Walgreens is a primary care practice conveniently located alongside a Walgreens pharmacy location. The spacious practice includes eight exam rooms and on-site labs to offer full-service primary care, including the management of chronic conditions in addition to treating everyday illnesses and injuries. Village Medical physicians and Walgreens pharmacists collaborate closely to fill prescriptions immediately following medical visits, at the same location if patients choose, and ensure patients have access to high-quality care and medical expertise.

The number of people in Illinois with three or more chronic diseases is growing and expected to reach 3 million in 2030, and 45,400 lives in Illinois could be saved annually through better prevention and treatment of chronic disease, showing the need for the kind of care Village Medical at Walgreens provides.
