DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreens has added a new leader at Walgreens Health. Monica Reed has joined the company as vice president, Walgreens Health Centers Strategy and Operations. She will be responsible for leading Walgreens Health Corners, which are dedicated in-store spaces where licensed clinicians can provide health services ranging from preventive care and wellness checks to assistance with managing chronic conditions. With more than 22 years of healthcare experience, Reed is said to be well suited for her new role. Her career includes leading clinical operations teams across commercial, Medicare and Medicaid, as well as supporting product development and design and sales. Monica joins Walgreens from CareCentrix, a wholly owned subsidiary of Walgreens Boots Alliance.
At CareCentrix, she served as Senior Vice President, Clinical Operations, leading clinical operations for home and post-acute services, as well as providing product design and sales support.
